Another collapsed adit. The face of this ridge appears to be quite unstable.
This trestle rests just above the ore hopper. Mine cars would have been pushed to the end of the trestle and dumped into the hopper.
The hopper stands majestically on the side of the ridge.
The hopper held the ore so it could be loaded into wagons for transport to the mill.
The ore chute is still in pretty good condition.
The hopper had two loading chutes.
There are still vast open spaces in this part of Nevada.
 
This road heads eastward up into the mountains. My maps show that there are more portals in the area. I'm looking for a return exploration trip.
